Job summary

MORGAN MCKINLEY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced OpenStack Engineer in Singapore to design, implement, and automate scalable OpenStack infrastructure. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure availability, security, and performance, leveraging Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Red Hat Linux.

You will develop automation scripts, integrate with AI/LLMs, and contribute to capacity planning and security compliance while mentoring peers and contributing to documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Red Hat or OpenStack platforms.
• Kubernetes expertise and Red Hat Linux administration.
• Experience provisioning with VMware ESX and monitoring with Prometheus and Ops.
• Experience integrating with Elastic Stack.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and AIOps concepts.
• Experience or exposure to AI agents and AI-assisted automation.
• Understanding of API integration, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain OpenStack-based cloud infrastructures.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment and management of OpenStack environments.
• Integrate OpenStack with Kubernetes/OpenShift and other systems.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in OpenStack components and infrastructure.
• Apply security best practices and ensure policy compliance.
• Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Assist in change management for new versions and hotfixes.
• Explore AI/Automation to enhance OpenStack administration.
• Develop AI agents with OpenStack APIs and automation tools.
• Mentor team members and draft system documentation.
