Job summary

EXASOFT CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced OpenShift Administrator to manage enterprise OCP environments across development and production. You will configure clusters, upgrades, node management, and troubleshooting while ensuring platform security and compliance.

You will work with Kubernetes, RHEL, GitOps pipelines, and Ansible automation to support reliable deployments and platform operations. Strong RBAC, networking, and observability experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Red Hat OpenShift / OCP administration.
• Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and Linux infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container platform administration.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift cluster setup, configuration, upgrades, node management, troubleshooting, and day-to-day platform operations.
• Experience with OpenShift GitOps / Argo CD and GitOps-based deployment practices.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation, including playbook development and configuration management.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Experience in RBAC/IAM, identity integration, networking, firewall configuration, and platform security.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite for patching and lifecycle management is preferred.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, and Loki.
• Experience in OpenShift Virtualization, Nexus Repository, Dynatrace, Tanzu and Postman.
• Experience in Performance testing framework.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, Kubernetes/OpenShift, networking, deployments, and infrastructure components.
• Red Hat OpenShift certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments, including cluster configuration, node management, platform maintenance, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Manage OpenShift workloads, namespaces, resources, access controls, persistent storage, and overall cluster health across development and production environments.
• Perform Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, including server provisioning, OS configuration, upgrades, patching, hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Work with Kubernetes and container platforms to support application deployments, platform operations, and infrastructure-level issue resolution.
• Implement and maintain OpenShift GitOps / ArgoCD workflows for controlled and automated application deployments across environments.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation for infrastructure configuration, platform operations, compliance activities, and repetitive administrative tasks.
• Manage and support Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Configure and maintain RBAC/IAM controls and integrate platform access with enterprise identity mechanisms.
• Support OpenShift networking, firewall configurations, node connectivity, resource allocation, and platform troubleshooting.
• Administer Red Hat Satellite for system lifecycle management, patching, subscriptions, and RHEL environment maintenance.
• Monitor platform health, logs, metrics, and alerts using Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and Alertmanager, and investigate infrastructure or application-related issues.
• Support OpenShift Virtualization environments, including virtual machine provisioning and operational administration.
• Manage enterprise artifact repositories such as Nexus Repository and support their integration with deployment pipelines.
• Participate in platform testing, including UAT, API testing, and performance testing, where required.
• Work with tools such as Postman, K6, Dynatrace, and Tanzu to support testing, monitoring, performance validation, and platform operations.
• Maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting procedures, configuration records, and platform support processes.
• Follow security, compliance, patching, and hardening standards across OpenShift and Linux environments.
