Job summary

Housing & Development Board (HDB) invites you to join the Urban Resilience Research team under its Building & Research Institute as part of the HDB Internship Programme. You will engage with the Cool Ideas Enterprise (CIE) programme, helping evaluate proposals, match solutions to challenges, and support flagship enterprise events across Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the running of the CIE programme — coordinating calls for proposals, tracking submissions, and evaluating and shortlisting solutions
• Matching enterprise solutions to HDB challenge statements and facilitating connections between innovators and project teams
• Supporting pro-enterprise initiatives and engagement events (e.g. Demo Day, enterprise showcases, industry sharing sessions)
• Preparing briefing materials, programme reports, and presentations for management and external partners
• Responding to enterprise enquiries and helping onboard participating companies
• Conducting market and technology scans to build a pipeline of promising solutions for the built environment
• Gain practical experience in open innovation, enterprise engagement and programme management in the public sector
• Understand how a government agency builds an innovation ecosystem and partners across agencies to support enterprises
• Develop skills in proposal evaluation, stakeholder communication, event coordination and business writing
