Onsite Transportation Coordinator - Global Logistics Leader

Job summary

Expeditors is looking for a Transportation Coordinator to be onsite with a high-tech customer in Singapore. You will support day-to-day transportation operations, track and trace, incident analysis, carrier performance reporting, and SOP development within a Global Onsite Team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5 years in transportation/logistics, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to lead meetings and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain Logistics / Operations / International Business / Economics / Arts).
• Minimum 5 years of transportation and logistics experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated knowledge of international transportation.
• Dynamic personality with public speaking skills and experience leading meetings with customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask and reprioritize work as needed.
• Strong organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills.
• Adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Aptitude for learning new software and technology platforms.
• Motivated, results-driven attitude.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and create project plans.
• Take on assigned tasks to ensure completion.
• Manage workload and workflow.
• Escalate issues in a timely manner.
• Participate and lead meetings with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers, suppliers and carriers.
• Collaborate with warehouses and service providers to manage exceptions and drive operations excellence.
• Manage over, short, or delayed shipments per escalation protocols.
• Analyze performance data to identify process improvements.
• Ensure freight is delivered on time with carriers and service providers.
• Create and present carrier/vendor performance reviews.
• Support cost savings, consolidation and on-time performance initiatives.
• Ensure operational KPIs are met.
• Develop and update SOPs/SWI documents.
