About the Role

Join our fast-paced operations team as anOnsite Operations / Field Support Technician. In this hands-on field role, you will be the primary technical point of contact across various retail and partner outlets. You will manage equipment deployment, perform hardware/software calibration, verify store mapping data, and resolve technical issues on the ground to keep our smart systems running seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Onsite Deployment & Installation: Execute end-to-end setup, mounting, and activation of proprietary hardware devices and smart units across designated outlets (averaging 3–4 site visits daily for maintenance, setting up new stores will differ from size).
• New Store Openings & Site Commissioning:Execute end-to-end deployment and system commissioning for new supermarket store launches, managing comprehensive setups over dedicated 1- to 2-day onsite execution phases.
• Site Survey & Store Mapping: Perform field data collection to map Points of Interest (POIs) within outlets and verify physical store layouts against technical drawings and floor plans.
• Maintenance, Diagnostics & Repairs: Conduct routine preventive maintenance, diagnose hardware/software faults, troubleshoot network connectivity issues, and perform part replacements in a timely manner.
• Testing & Calibration: Set up hardware accessories (e.g., beacons, mounting brackets), perform Wi-Fi/network signal checks, and calibrate location tracking hardware (e.g., Ultra-Wideband / UWB systems).
• Inventory & Field Reporting: Track field equipment inventory, log maintenance activities using internal mobile applications, and return decommissioned or faulty units to the central warehouse for overhaul.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain positive working relationships with onsite store managers, supervisors, and internal technical support teams to minimize service disruptions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience:
• No prior experience required— fresh graduates and career switchers are welcome! Full on-the-job training and guidance will be provided.
• Prior experience in IT support, electronics maintenance, or field operations is a bonus.
• Technical Knowledge (Advantageous but not mandatory):
• Basic familiarity with basic hand tools (e.g., drills, screwdrivers) for hardware bracket assembly and mounting.
• Basic understanding of IT and wireless networks (e.g., device IP setup, Wi-Fi connectivity testing, signal testing).
• Comfort using mobile apps, tablets, or field management tools to log reports and run diagnostic checks.
• Soft Skills & Work Style:
• Strong problem-solving mindset and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
• Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently in the field.
• Good team player with clear communication skills.
• Language Requirement:
• Proficiency inMandarinis required to effectively communicate and liaise with Mandarin-speaking supermarket associates, store managers, and onsite staff.

Compensation & Transport Allowance

• Base Salary:SGD $2,500 – SGD $3,500 / month (Commensurate with qualifications and experience).
• Transport Allowance / Reimbursement:
• Fixed Transport Allowance:SGD $200 – $300 / monthORfull monthly reimbursement for actual travel expenses (Grab/taxi for heavy equipment, MRT, and bus fares) incurred during outlet visits.
• Mobile phone / data allowance provided.
