GAIN CITY BEST-ELECTRIC PTE LTD is seeking an Onsite Installation & Service Technician to join our in-house service team in Singapore. You will install, service, troubleshoot and repair consumer electronics and home appliances, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on installation, preventative maintenance, and independent problem solving with focus on first-time fixes. A valid driving license and willingness to work a 6-day week (9am–6pm) are required.

Qualifications

• Min 2 years of working experience as an onsite technician in consumer electronics/home appliances; apprentices are welcome.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical wiring and system issues; networking knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Valid Singapore driving license; other licenses (welding, electrical, plumbing, refrigerant handling) are an advantage.
• Willingness to work a 6-day week (rotating shifts) and perform overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure products to ensure full functionality before handover to customers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing on air conditioning, washing machines, refrigerators, etc.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair onsite issues; strive for first-time fix and safe work practices (WSH compliance with PPE).
• Maintain CSAT by clear communication, tidy workspace and collecting customer feedback for service improvement.
• Accurately document service reports and parts used, and handle ad-hoc tasks from the supervisor.

Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Onsite Installation & Service Technician to join our growing in-house service team. You will be focus on providing the professional installation, service, troubleshoot and repair of consumer electronics products and home appliances. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance to enhance system efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Installation & Setup: Provide installation and configuration of the various products to ensure full operational functionality before handover to customer.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine services and maintenance job such as chemical and maintenance cleaning (Air-conditional), tub cleaning (Washing Machine), coil maintenance (Refrigerator) etc.
• Repair and Service Support: Work independently to diagnose and troubleshoot any onsite issues, maintain low repeat repair and ensuring first time fix. Ensure all works are carried out safely accordance with safety procedures and practicing of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act by wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when conducting necessary repair job.
• Service Recovery and Customer Excellence: Maintain high CSAT (Customer satisfaction by providing clear explanation and education to the customers, maintain a clean workspace and collect the feedback from customer for future product and service improvement.
• Documentation: Accurately record the service reports, part use and customer feedback timely.
• Other Ad-hoc job: In-house diagnose and repair the product return from customer, warehouse spare part arrangement and disposal activities and handle any ad-hoc projects and duties assigned by reporting manager.

Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Min 2 years of working experience as an onsite technicians in consumer electronics industry, no experience is also welcome to join as apprentice.
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical wiring and system issue. Knowledge in networking, android/ IOS system is a plus
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and with the ability to explain the technical issue to non-tech savvy users.
• Licensing: Posses driving License equivalent to Singapore Driving License. Others certificate and license for the specific jobs such as welding, electrical work, plumbing, refrigerant handling will add advantages.
• Working hours: Comfortable with 6 days work week including weekend (rotated shift, 9am to 6pm). Willingness to perform overtime work when required

Education:

Possess at least Primary/Secondary School/"O" Level, Professional Certificate/NITEC, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in IT, Electronics or equivalent.
