Job summary

TÜV SÜD Singapore is seeking a Civil Engineering professional to oversee on-site destructive and non-destructive tests for construction projects and to develop procedures and reports.

You will design test fixtures, review SOPs and risk assessments to ensure safety and quality compliance, and collaborate with vendors, clients and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project execution. A Civil Engineering degree with 2 years' experience and a valid Singapore Class 3 license is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 2 years of working experience in construction, soil investigation, instrumentation or testing industries.
• Possess Class 3 or higher Singapore driver license.
• Familiarity to ISO 9001 and 17025 standards would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform the on-site destructive and non destructive tests for construction/civil projects.
• Develop new and customized procedures, as well as prepare reports.
• Design and set-up test fixtures for customized test procedures.
• Review SOP, risk assessments and ensure compliance to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects.
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of various equipment.
