Job summary

Singapore Power Ltd on Jurong Island is seeking a Diploma-qualified technician to perform operation, monitoring, inspection, servicing and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control equipment in a 24/7 environment.

You will ensure proper functioning of distributed control, pressure regulating, compressor and chilling systems, supervise contractors, enforce safety, and maintain records and spares.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or relevant disciplines from a recognized polytechnic in Singapore.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
• Willing to work 3-shift on rotation for 24/7 operation including public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform operation, monitoring, inspection, servicing and maintenance works covering all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control equipment
• Ensure proper functioning of the distributed control, pressure regulating, compressor and chilling systems
• Supervise contractors' works
• Enforce safe work practices
• Prepare works orders and completion certificates for works carried out by contractors
• Monitor and initiate action for the replenishment of essential spares, routine servicing and maintenance
• Ensure proper records and filing of O&M works and metering data
• Ensure that the tools and equipment are properly maintained to achieve operation readiness
• Assist in the preparation of specifications for calling of tender/quotation
• Perform standby duties after working hours
