Job summary

Wan Heng Lee Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Engineer to assist the Project Director/Manager in planning, coordination and supervision of mechanical works at construction sites. You will liaise with consultants, contractors and project teams to ensure works align with drawings and project specs.

Responsibilities include monitoring installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, reviewing drawings and material submissions, and conducting site

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of engineering software is a plus.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail; able to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to work at construction sites and liaise with consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Good command of English; Mandarin/Chinese proficiency is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director/Manager in planning, coordination and supervision of mechanical works at construction sites.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and project teams to ensure works follow drawings and specifications.
• Monitor installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Review and coordinate mechanical drawings, shop drawings and material submissions for approval.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress, quality and workmanship.
• Liaise with consultants and design engineers to resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, safety requirements and timelines.
• Maintain documentation of drawings, approvals, design changes and progress.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
