Job summary

OPENAIR ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an on-site project engineer/manager to create detailed plans and test prototypes for new products.

The role involves leading on-site teams, ensuring contract compliance, and liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to progress projects. You will conduct inspections, test materials, enforce building codes and safety regulations, and report progress to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed plans, blueprints, models, or code for new products
• Building prototypes or early versions to test basic functions
• Researching new project ideas to see if they are practical and useful
• Running performance tests under real conditions to find flaws
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Lead on-site teams and manage daily workflows
• Conduct routine site inspections to verify contract compliance
• Test building materials and structural integrity
• Enforce local building codes and site safety regulations
• Assist with progress claims, billing, and quantity tracking
• Report progress updates to senior management and clients
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and listening skills.Conducting research and applying new knowledge.
• Making improvements to existing processes, materials, etc.
