Liberte HR Services PTE. LTD. partners with a leading global commodities brokerage to appoint an experienced Energy Broker / Desk Head in Singapore, tasked with establishing and growing a dedicated energy desk.

This senior role requires strong market relationships, deep product knowledge, and the ability to originate and execute client flow across energy products within APAC, offering substantial leadership opportunity on a fast-moving platform.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in energy, oil products, petrochemicals, or commodities broking/trading.
• Experience in Naphtha or Gasoline broking will be highly advantageous.
• Strong APAC market knowledge, ideally with Singapore-based client coverage.
• Established relationships with relevant market participants.
• Ability to generate revenue and develop a client book.
• Strong understanding of physical markets, derivatives, or both.
• Commercial, entrepreneurial, and able to operate in a fast-growing platform.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a Singapore-based energy broking desk across selected oil products and petrochemical markets.
• Originate and maintain relationships with traders, refiners, majors, trading houses, petrochemical players, and other market participants.
• Broker physical and/or derivatives transactions across relevant energy products.
• Provide market colour, pricing intelligence, supply/demand insight, and trade flow updates to clients.
• Work closely with regional and global teams to support APAC platform growth.
• Identify opportunities to expand desk revenue, client coverage, and product capability.
• Support future hiring and team build-out where relevant.
