Job summary

Claxton is seeking an experienced Offshore Technician to join our Singapore team. The role supports offshore operations across client vessels, rigs and platforms globally, offering exposure to surface, subsea and downhole activities.

Reporting to the Offshore Operations Manager, you will contribute to delivering drilling and decommissioning projects, while developing technical and operational expertise in an international offshore environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering or technology within the last 2 years.
• Hands-on aptitude.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
• Excellent communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of offshore teams delivering drilling and decommissioning segment projects.
• Follow and adhere to all applicable project documentation and standards.
• Assist to mobilise, maintain and operate equipment onshore at workshop.
• Follow supervisor instructions during offshore operations to minimise risk and maximise quality.
• Actively pursue learning and development of competence during offshore operations.
• Participate in finding solutions to complex technical problems.
• Document lessons learned, opportunities for improvement and non-conformances.
• Ensure clear communication with Claxton onshore and offshore personnel, and client.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Offshore Technician to join our Singapore team. Reporting to the Offshore Operations Manager, this role is responsible for supporting offshore operations across client vessels, rigs, and platforms globally. The position offers exposure to a wide range of surface, subsea, and downhole operational activities, while providing opportunities to further develop technical and operational expertise within an international offshore environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Work as a member of offshore teams in delivery of drilling & decommission segment projects
• Follow, and adhere to, all applicable project documentation and standards
• Assist to correctly mobilise, maintain and operate equipment onshore at workshop
• Follow supervisor instructions during offshore operations to minimize risk and maximize quality of performance
• Actively pursue learning and development of competence during offshore operations
• Participate in finding solutions to complex technical problems
• Document lessons learnt, opportunities for improvement and non-conformances
• Ensure clear communication with Claxton onshore and offshore personnel, and client

Experience/Skills

Preferred

• Knowledge of mechanical, high pressure pump and hydraulic equipment
• Awareness of offshore decommissioning work scopes

Essential

• A Diploma in engineering or technology, gained within the last 2 years - Mechanical or hybrid thereof
