Job summary

Claxton is seeking an experienced Workshop Technician to join the Singapore team. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the role supports onshore operations with Claxton-owned and third-party equipment while developing the ability to independently plan and execute workshop activities.

The position covers equipment maintenance, job planning, mobilisation/demobilisation, troubleshooting, site support, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Nitec or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Hydraulic) required.
• Strong troubleshooting with engines/power packs and hydraulic equipment.
• Hands-on aptitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support onshore drilling and decommissioning project activities
• Carry out equipment maintenance, servicing, testing, and repairs
• Prepare equipment for mobilisation, load-out, and operational readiness
• Assist with warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling
• Perform equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and pre-mobilisation checks
• Maintain housekeeping standards across workshop and warehouse facilities
• Support project mobilisation and demobilisation activities
• Operate forklifts safely in support of workshop and yard operations
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, HSE requirements, and industry standards
• Prepare operational and equipment condition reports, highlighting any repair requirements
