Job summary

RRecruiter in Singapore is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to lead startup and commissioning activities for water and wastewater projects, including FPSO or offshore oil & gas systems.

The role requires a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with travel offshore and collaboration with clients, vendors, and project teams. You will develop training materials, manage documentation, attend progress meetings, and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of water and wastewater treatment experience with O&G exposure.
• Strong knowledge of process plant systems and equipment.
• Willingness to travel offshore and participate in commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support system startup and commissioning activities.
• Develop training programs and materials for process plant equipment.
• Manage commissioning documentation, including test data, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and design feedback.
• Attend project progress and commissioning meetings to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
• Compile commissioning reports, records, and project deliverables.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Contribute to the collection, storage, and sharing of technical and business knowledge.
• Identify and report safety concerns while supporting continuous improvement in safety practices.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, technologies, and innovations through professional networking and training.
• Travel to offshore project sites to carry out commissioning activities and support facility startup.
