FPSO Telecom Lead Engineer - Engineering & Commissioning

Job summary

GIS MIC in Singapore is seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to lead the telecom discipline through detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning. You will review specifications, layouts and vendor packages, ensuring conformance to project requirements, API/ISO/ASME standards, and HSE practices.

The role requires at least 10 years of Oil & Gas experience with FPSO exposure, fluent English, and strong interface management skills for coordination with EPCs and vendors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree, preferably specialized in Telecom Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas experience with FPSO design.
• Strong experience in detailed engineering, engineering document review, vendor packages and interface management.
• Experience with FATs, technical bid evaluations and vendor coordination.
• Good knowledge of API, ISO, ASME and other international standards.
• Experience supporting HAZOPs, technical audits and multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Exposure to commissioning/pre-commissioning and system completion.
• Fluent English; French is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Telecom discipline during detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Review and approve telecom engineering documents, specifications, datasheets, layouts, cable routing and vendor packages.
• Ensure telecom design and equipment comply with project requirements, international standards, HSE and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors and vendors, including participation in FATs and technical meetings.
• Manage telecom interfaces with other disciplines and monitor engineering progress, quality, schedule and budget.
• Support construction, commissioning, pre-commissioning and punch-list activities when required.
