Job summary

The Salvation Army, Singapore - Peacehaven Nursing Home is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver resident-centered OT services in line with our Mission and Philosophy of Care. You will supervise therapy and nursing staff, coordinate services, assess residents, develop individualised OT programs, and document progress to meet Ministry of Health standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Full registration with APHC is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer occupational therapy services aligned with The Salvation Army's Mission and Philosophy of Care.
• Coordinate and ensure appropriate occupational therapy services by supervising, monitoring and educating therapy and nursing staff.
• Implement and continuously improve standards of care and service that meet or exceed Ministry of Health and The Salvation Army's required levels of performance.
• Assess and identify individual needs of residents and formulate/develop and implement appropriate individualised music therapeutic programs.
• Evaluate and document residents' occupational therapy needs and progress at regular intervals, monitor training programs and review its effectiveness.
• Refer residents to the respective specialists for consultation and appropriate intervention.
• Train and supervise caregivers/volunteers in the maintenance of occupational therapy programs.
• Plan and schedule therapy care staff for relevant training in order to excel in their duties.
