Job summary

Vision Manpower Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Nursing Aide to support Registered Nurses (RN) and Enrolled Nurses (EN) in delivering resident care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting with daily activities.

You will measure vital signs, assist with hygiene, mobility, meals, and participate in admission routines and emergency reporting, with training aligned to approved standards.

Qualifications

• GCE N Level or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• WSQ Higher Certificate/Advanced Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) is preferred.
• ITE ATC Healthcare (Home Care) programme is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Support Registered Nurses (RN) and Enrolled Nurses (EN) in delivering nursing care.
• Comply with approved standards, policies, and procedures of nursing practice.
• Attend to residents' needs, ensuring safety, comfort and well‑being, reporting changes to nurses promptly.
• Measure, monitor, and record residents' vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP).
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities for residents.
• Support transfer, positioning and mobility of non‑ambulant or dependent residents.
• Assist in daily exercises and mobility activities as instructed.
• Assist nurses with medication administration and safety during care.

Key Responsibilities

• The Nursing Aide supports Registered Nurses (RN) and Enrolled Nurses (EN) in the delivery of nursing care to residents and assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within the nursing home.
• Comply with approved standards, policies, and procedures of nursing practice.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance residents' care and safety.
• Attend to residents' needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being, and report any changes in condition to nurses promptly.
• Measure, monitor, and accurately record residents' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene and comfort needs, including bed baths, showering, grooming, changing of clothes and bed linen, and ensuring residents are kept clean and dry.
• Support the transfer, positioning, and mobility of non-ambulant or dependent residents.
• Assist in conducting daily exercises and mobility activities for residents as instructed.
• Assist nurses in ensuring residents take their prescribed medications safely.
• Assist with meal services, including serving food and drinks and feeding residents when required.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of care provided.
• Assist nurses with nursing care activities, including care of residents with urinary catheters and other basic clinical procedures as delegated.
• Support the admission process and orientation of new residents.
• Accompany residents to hospitals, polyclinics, and external appointments or outing activities when required.
• Recognize and promptly report emergency situations, and where necessary, take appropriate first responder actions within scope of training.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and other staff to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by Nurses, Senior / Nurse Clinician, Director of Nursing (DON), or Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Requirements

• GCE N Level / Diploma in Nursing
• Attained training in either one of the courses:
• WSQ Higher Certificate / Advanced Certificate / in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care)
• Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Approved Training Centre (ATC) Healthcare (Home Care) programme.
