Job summary

The Singapore Cheshire Home in Singapore is seeking dedicated nursing care staff to support residents with daily clinical duties in a residential setting. Your responsibilities include wound management, medication administration, assisting in rounds with Medical Doctors and AHPs, arranging appointments, and maintaining accurate documentation in the Care Management System.

This role demands shift work including nights and on-call duties, teamwork with care staff, and a commitment to resident

Responsibilities

• Assume shift or night duties or be on call whenever necessary.
• Assist in wound management, track wound progress, and report findings to Nursing Officers in managing wound outcome.
• Pack, prepare and serve oral medications, topical applications and subcutaneous injections.
• Assist Nursing Officers in rounds with Medical Doctor and other Allied Health Professionals (AHP) by preparing required documents.
• Arrange residents for medical appointments, including scheduling appointments, assigning care staff to accompany residents and arranging transportation.
• Prepare and arrange dressing trolleys.
• Ensure medical supplies and consumables are sufficient.
• Tidy the clinic including Treatment room and Medication room.
• Serve and feed residents on Nasogastric / PEG tube.
• Supervise and assist care staff in handling toileting needs such as bathing, transferring from bed to wheelchair and commode of residents.
• Perform daily bladder washout for residents with Indwelling catheter.
• Assist the Nursing Officers to handle any emergency.
• Attend to emails, telephone calls and phone messages.
• Assist in recording cash donations and/or donations-in-kind in the record book provided.
• Assist in performing COVID clearance tests such as ART.
• Assist in migration of computer digitalisation when necessary.
• Timely documentation in the Care Management System.
• To perform any other tasks assigned by CNO and NOs.
