Job summary

NTUC Health Co-operative Limited is seeking a Nurse Manager, Residential Care to lead quality of care and staff development across our residential facilities in Singapore. The role emphasizes ensuring compliance with MOH and SNB standards while guiding direct resident care and smooth transitions from acute to chronic care where possible.

The successful candidate will manage staffing, oversee care delivery, and drive ongoing staff competency upgrades, including orientation and preceptorship

Qualifications

• Requires nursing degree and professional registrations.
• Proven ability to lead nursing care in a residential setting.
• Experience in geriatric care or nursing home environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and MOH/SNB requirements.
• Direct care of residents and oversight of care delivery across shifts.
• Monitor staffing levels and skills mix for all services.
• Facilitate staff development, training, and competency updates.
• Guide orientation, induction, and preceptorship for new staff.

Education

Degree in Nursing

Valid practicing certificate issued by the SNB

Valid BCLs certification

Job Description

Quality and Safe Care

• Is responsible for the compliance of all nursing standards as stipulated by Ministry of Health and Singapore Nursing Board.
• Leads quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
• Ensures quality audits and planned and conducted periodically.
• Follow up with areas of corrective improvements.
• Ensures written policies and procedures and work process are available and up to date to guide the provision of nursing care.

Care Delivery

• Monitor the smooth transition of the residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community, where possible.
• Direct care of the residents to ensure compliance to standards.

Staff Resources

• Ensures appropriate skills mix and adequate manpower resourcing for all shifts and types of services.

Staff Development

• Direct and facilitate staff development and competencies upgrading, in-house training, including latest nursing techniques; and implement new techniques or procedures where appropriate.
• Guide orientation/induction programmes and preceptorship for all new staff.
