Job description

Position Overview

Yield Analysis Engineer – NAND Technology Department, Singapore. The engineer will provide key feedback and direction on yield improvement activities for NAND memory technology, collaborating across all company functions and driving technical solutions to enhance yield, quality, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Discover and quantify yield issues in NAND development using metrics such as wafer/dice/tile shading, ECATS, or custom metrics.
  • Interact with process, integration, yield, failure analysis, product engineering, design, and layout teams to define and prioritize yield and reliability issues.
  • Own deep‑dive statistical analyses of inline, probe, and other critical metrics to enable early detection and yield improvement.
  • Quantify and track progress on issue resolution, including yield improvement/downside impacts.
  • Initiate data mining, correlation studies, and PFA requests to identify root causes of yield issues.
  • Perform inline correlation studies and generate yield predictions based on expected improvements.
  • Conduct yield trend analysis to identify root causes in process steps, conversions, algorithm changes, and design.
  • Collaborate with metrology and RDA teams to develop and refine inline detection methods.
  • Define and develop new parametric/probe bins with product and probe engineering teams to detect emerging failure modes.
  • Work with module owners to identify key deficiencies and drive cross‑functional solutions.
  • Optimize layout and develop innovative solutions to meet product and manufacturability requirements.
  • Extract data from diverse databases, automate queries, and script for improved efficiency.
  • Support the transfer of layout/architecture fundamentals from R&D to manufacturing fabs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in FA, yield analysis, or yield enhancement.
  • Deep understanding of probe failure mechanisms; electrical bench data collection experience is desirable.
  • Fluency in Python, JavaScript, or C/C++.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
