Job summary

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, oversee process development, and manage scale-up while engaging customers and partners for technology validation. The role requires a Ph.D. or equivalent with 10+ years in critical-minerals development, strong modelling skills, and hands-on experience in plant

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent with deep expertise in mineral extraction
• Master’s degree with strong industrial track record will be considered
• Experience in at least one mineral extraction route (solvent extraction, ion exchange/adsorption, membranes, or precipitation)
• Proficiency in process modelling, mass/energy balances and related analytical methods
• Strong leadership, communication and customer-facing skills
• 10+ years in critical-minerals process development with 3+ years leading teams
• Hands-on plant commissioning, troubleshooting and technology transfer to engineering or customers
• Experience with industrial water/wastewater treatment and international customers is a plus

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technology roadmap for mineral extraction, purification and conversion.
• Benchmark competing technologies and drive IP generation.
• Lead and mentor the R&D team across SG and AD Labs; set priorities and guide experiments.
• Oversee project planning, budgets, procurement and reporting to leadership.
• Develop and optimize mineral extraction flowsheets with high recovery and selectivity.
• Lead scale-up from lab to pilot and support pilot unit design and commissioning.
• Manage end-to-end application studies on real feeds and support customer projects.
• Build collaborations with customers, technology providers and universities.
