Job summary

Rapid Recruitment Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a Product Engineer to manage products through their lifecycle from design to end-of-life and to coordinate NPI activities for smooth ramp-up to mass production.

You will work with cross-functional teams across R&D, NPI and manufacturing, maintain BOM in SAP, and support ECNs, process improvements and production releases while ensuring documentation is complete.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Experience in Product Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing Engineering or Product Development is preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP, BOM management and engineering change processes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with DFM, PFMEA and manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good project coordination and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional and global teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned products throughout their lifecycle, from design to end-of-life.
• Plan and coordinate NPI activities and support smooth ramp-up to mass production.
• Coordinate product transfers between R&D, NPI and manufacturing sites.
• Support prototype and pilot builds, ensuring components and materials are ready.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, cost, yield and processes.
• Maintain BOM / SuperBOM and product information in SAP.
• Coordinate Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) and product changes.
• Support production release reviews and ensure required documentation is completed.
• Work with Test Development teams on product testing, verification and qualification.
• Analyse test and production data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support corrective and preventive actions to improve production yield and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate technical and product documentation.
