Job summary

Indicon Pte. Ltd. is hiring a Project Engineer to lead the design and creation of electrical industrial control and power distribution low voltage panels.

You will develop prototypes, create 3D models, and generate BOMs for proofs of concept while ensuring UL 508A compliance. You will review schematics, support production and customers with technical expertise, and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems.
• Skilled in Creo, AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented and customer-focused.
• Knowledge of UL 508A, IPC-A-620 and NFPA 70.
• Follow 6S practices daily.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics.
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge or background in the semiconductor industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and create low voltage control panels, prototypes and provide engineering support.
• RFI/RFQ handling and information requests.
• Create initial 3D models and BOMs for proofs of concepts.
• Review electrical schematics per UL 508A requirements.
• Prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Provide technical expertise for customer products and demonstrations.
• Maintain hands-on knowledge across plant products.
• Support NPI, production, and customers with technical input.
• Assist with panel inspections and testing.

About the role

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the process of design and creation of new electrical industrial control and power distribution low voltage panels – prototypes and engineering support for production. Reports to Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Act on request for information or quotes (RFI, RFQs)

• Select and evaluate suitability of components and conductors based on application and compliance with UL508A

• Creation of initial 3D model and BOM of Industrial Control Panel proof of concepts for potential clients

• Review and/or generate electrical schematics in accordance with UL 508A

• Prioritize jobs and handle multiple projects deadlines

• Provide exemplary technical expertise on customer products and solution demonstrations

• Retain a competent level of knowledge and technical hands‑on experience across plant specific products

• Support NPI (New Product Introduction), production, and customers with technical expertise

• Help with Inspection and Testing of panels
