The role is hands-on and execution-focused, collaborating with banking partners and internal teams to document requirements, manage operational processes, resolve issues, and ensure smooth payment activities across markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Payments, Card Issuing, Banking, FinTech, or Consulting.
• Hands-on understanding of payment operations.

Payments Business Analyst / Operations Consultant - 12 Months Contract

Location : CBD, Singapore

Working Arrangement: 5 days in the office Monday to Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm, no overtime

We're partnering with a leading global fintech to hire experienced Payments Business Analysts / Operations Consultants to support the delivery and day-to-day operations of payment and card-issuing solutions across global markets.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role rather than a traditional Product Management position. You'll work closely with banking partners and internal teams to understand requirements, manage operational processes, resolve issues and ensure payment and card-issuing activities run smoothly.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving problems and working directly with stakeholders . A background in Payments Operations, Card Issuing, Business Analysis or Payments Consulting would be highly relevant.

Day to Day responsivities

• Work directly with banking partners to understand, clarify and document business and operational requirements
• Manage and support Visa BIN / card-issuing related activities
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements for internal teams
• Work with banking partners and payment stakeholders on "Payment network " and related payment processes
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Solution Engineering and Operations teams to support implementation and delivery
• Support testing, implementation, operational readiness and post-launch activities
• Investigate operational issues, identify root causes and coordinate resolutions
• Maintain process documentation, workflows, requirements and operational procedures
• Support multiple payment and card-issuing initiatives across different markets
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, operational efficiency and automation

Skills Needed :

• 5+ years of experience in Payments, Card Issuing, Banking, FinTech, Business Analysis or Consulting
• Strong hands-on understanding of payment and card-issuing operations
• Experience with Visa / Mastercard , particularly card-issuing processes
• Visa BIN management experience is highly preferred
• Experience working directly with banks / banking partners
• Strong requirements-gathering and Business Analysis experience
• Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into clear requirements
• Experience working with technical teams and understanding how systems and APIs support payment processes
• Payment network experience is a strong advantage
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership without needing significant direction
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable handling operational tasks
