Job summary

HCLTech seeks a seasoned Network Reliability Engineer to lead design, operation, and optimization across hybrid and cloud networks. You will ensure high availability and performance for on-prem, SD-WAN, and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes automation, observability, incident prevention, and rapid recovery, with opportunities to mentor engineers and collaborate across teams in a global, 24x7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• CCIE and/or CCNP certification is preferred.
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
• Experience applying SRE principles (error budgets, toil reduction, automation).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Reliability & Availability: Design and implement highly reliable network infra. Define and track SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Incident Management: Lead major incident response, RCA, post-mortems and drive corrective actions.
• Automation & Self-Healing: Build automation scripts and self-healing mechanisms for provisioning, config, monitoring, and failover.
• Monitoring & Observability: Develop dashboards and alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, etc.
• Capacity Planning & Performance: Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning; chaos engineering for resilience.
• Security & Compliance: Collaborate on network security posture and zero-trust models.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with DevOps, SRE, Cloud, Security, and Applications teams.
• Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and share knowledge globally.
