Job summary

AVATAR MODERN TECHNO SERVICES PTE. LTD. seeks a seasoned Network Reliability Engineer to design, operate, and optimize hybrid and cloud networks across on-prem, SD-WAN, ACI, and major cloud platforms.

You will drive SRE practices, automation, observability, and rapid recovery to meet strict SLAs for mission-critical apps. You will define SLOs/SLIs, lead incident responses, and build self-healing network solutions while collaborating with DevOps, SRE, Cloud, Security, and Application teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• CCIE and/or CCNP certification preferred.
• Deep expertise in Routing (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP) and Switching (VLAN, VXLAN).
• Experience applying SRE principles: error budgets, toil reduction, automation.
• Proficient in Python scripting and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiar with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk for observability.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins and GitOps practices.
• Packet analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 global on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly reliable network infra.
• Define and track SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.
• Lead major incident response, RCA, and post-mortems.
• Implement blameless post-mortems and drive corrective actions.
• Build automation for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and failover.
• Develop dashboards and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk.
• Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and chaos testing.
• Collaborate on security posture, zero-trust, firewall policies and compliance.
• Work with DevOps, SRE, Cloud, Security, and App teams to embed reliability.
• Guide junior engineers and contribute to global knowledge sharing.
