Job summary

NCS Pte Ltd is seeking a Network Maintenance Engineer to provide 24x7 standby onsite and remote support for OneCare's clients. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and security patching for network devices to meet SLA obligations.

The role involves configuring Cisco Catalyst 9000 switches, managing Check Point, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewalls, and maintaining incident tickets with the team. This is an on-site Singapore-based position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of network and security experience and exposure.
• Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series switches configuration and troubleshooting.
• Check Point firewall management and support.
• Palo Alto Networks Firewall administration and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of networking protocols and architectures.
• Basic to intermediate skills in switches, routers, and F5 load balancers.
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls advantageous.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP) advantageous.
• Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) advantageous.
• Palo Alto Networks PCNSE advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches and hot fixes.
• Configure network devices (Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series) at basic to intermediate level.
• Manage and troubleshoot firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Replace faulty hardware and ensure firmware/software parity on replacements.
• Identify and resolve network and security issues promptly.
• Provide technical support to end-users and escalate as needed.
• Participate in 24x7 rotational standby support to ensure SLA compliance.
• Respond to network and security incidents promptly and document actions.
• Conduct and maintain preventive maintenance reports as contractually obligated.
• Collaborate with engineers to maintain comprehensive network and security documentation.
• Follow operational processes and elevate to senior engineers as required.

Job Description

As a Network Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the initial support and maintenance of OneCare's clients. This role provides 24x7 standby onsite and remote troubleshooting support, onsite hardware replacement, security patches, and firmware or software upgrades of network and security devices while ensuring SLA contractual obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities

Network & Security Operations:

• Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and hot fixes
• Configure network devices (Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series switches, routers, F5) at basic to intermediate level
• Manage and troubleshoot firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet)
• Replace faulty hardware and prepare replacement devices with identical firmware, software, and patches
• Identify and resolve network and security issues promptly

Support & Incident Management:

• Provide technical support to end-users and escalat e issues when necessary
• Participate in 24x7 rotational standby support for all clients to ensure SLA compliance
• Respond to network and security incidents promptly
• Participate in incident response drills and post-incident reviews
• Update incident tickets accurately and regularly

Compliance & Documentation:

• Adhere to client security and cyber hygiene policies
• Respond to security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Document network problems and resolutions for future reference
• Conduct and maintain preventive maintenance reports as contractually obligated
• Collaborate with engineers to maintain comprehensive network and security documentation
• Follow all operational processes and elevate to senior engineers as required
