Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Network Engineer in Singapore to support and optimize LAN/WAN and wireless networks. You will configure and maintain switches/routers, interface with users and vendors, and troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure high availability.

The role involves working on data center environments, VPNs, and cloud services, with opportunities to influence technology choices and network upgrades. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on with Cisco switching, routing and wireless hardware.
3–5 years with EIGRP, BGP, MPLS and other routing protocols.
3–5 years with Nexus 7K, 5K and 2K platforms.
Bachelor's Degree required; CCNA routing and switching preferred.

Responsibilities

Configure, install and maintain network switches, routers and security hardware.
Interface with users, consultants, technical teams, and vendors for deployment decisions.
Support complex LAN/WAN networks across the organization.
Maintain Wesco's networking infrastructure including routers, switches, APs, VPN and data centers.
Serve as troubleshooter for Local and Wide Area Network problems.
Analyze new tech and trends to solve corporate needs.
Perform installations, upgrades and support of network hardware/software.
Create and maintain technical network documents.
Provide 24/7 network support.
Drive continuous improvement of the network environment.
