Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an on-site Network Hardware Support professional in Singapore to perform hardware changes, including installing network devices and cabling, and to liaise with engineers and partners for fault resolution.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, console setup, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption and improved monitoring capabilities.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues encountered during change implementation with existing hardware and consoles, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Console Setup: Provide console connection as needed during planned activities.
• Communications: Liaise and coordinate with implementation engineers, internal stake holders, providers, and partners to ensure swift and efficient resolution of faults
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvements to reduce Infrastructure faults and improve monitoring capability

• On-site Network Hardware Support: Execute hardware changes, including the physical replacement and installation of network devices, plugin of USB media, organize the fibre/copper cables in preparation for planned activities and other equipment as per change requests.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues encountered during change implementation with existing hardware and consoles, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Console Setup: Provide console connection as needed during planned activities.
• Communications: Liaise and coordinate with implementation engineers, internal stake holders, providers, and partners to ensure swift and efficient resolution of faults

Requirements:

• Understand and work with network devices and their components, including fibre and copper cables.
• Juniper routers (mx-series) and Juniper switches (ex-series)
• Activities involved will be as follows:
• i. Switch replacement
• Includes labelling all the current cables in preparation for the replacement, unplug cables, unmount old switch, mount new switch, connect back the cables
• ii. Routing Engine & Control Board Replacement
• iii. MPC (Line Card) Replacement
• Includes labelling all the currently connected cables in preparation for the replacement, remove old MPC, slot new MPC, connect back cables
