Job summary

OPUS IT SERVICES PTE LTD is looking for a Network Engineer in Singapore to manage daily operational tasks and provide support in network and security administration.

This role requires over 3 years of experience in network support, proficient knowledge in various products including Cisco routers and firewalls, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• More than 3 years of experience in network support and maintenance (LAN, WAN, CLOUD).
• Must possess CCNP certification or be willing to obtain within the first three months.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day support of operational tasks and incidents.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems.
• Document incident RCA reports and system performance tuning.
• Provide on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis.
• Perform preventive maintenance and participate in customer weekly sessions.

Job description

The Network Engineer is responsible for managing day to day support of operational tasks, requests, incidents and changes in meeting customer’s requirements and agreed service levels. Perform and support regular preventive maintenance tasks include:

• Respond and handling of customer requests/queries
• Incident resolution
• Change and service request fulfilment
• Problem ticket closure
• Preventive maintenance tasks fulfilment
• Vulnerability assessment
• Assist the Team Lead/Operations Manager to train and guide junior team members
• Develop and enhance NOC team capability

Key Responsibilities

• Experienced in network/security administration in enterprise DC and Public Environment
• Experiences in supporting firewall /network product such as Cisco routers & switches, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco ACI, Aruba, Infoblox, Citrix load balancers, SolarWinds etc.
• Experienced in troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software issues, analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues/incident
• Analyzing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems remotely and on-site
• Responsibility for documenting incident RCA report the configuration of the system and (network) system performance tuning
• Responsibility for security compliance, patching, health check & hardening remediation
• Maintaining and administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
• Performing standard or project change request as per change window
• Provide on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis
• Responsible for applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Participate in customer weekly sessions

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and equivalent
• More than 3 years of experience in network support and maintenance (LAN, WAN, CLOUD)
• Must possess CCNP certification, or be willing to obtain the certification within the first three (3) months of employment. Failure to do so may result in a review of the employment status.
• Equip with technical skills and experiences in Cisco router, switch, wireless, Cisco firewall, aci, Citrix load balancer, Aruba Clearpass, Solarwinds and etc.
