Job summary

People Search Consultants seeks a Network Administrator to optimize WAN/LAN/Wi‑Fi networks, keep routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers in good condition, and resolve performance and capacity issues. The role includes procurement, project management and regular documentation of configurations and cabling for all end-devices.

The candidate should have a IT/CS/Engineering degree or diploma and 4+ years of network administration experience, with experience in BGP/OSPF/MPLS, VPNs, VRF, QoS,

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering or related fields with at least 4 years of relevant working experience in network administration.
• Familiar with network configurations and setups including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN Tunnel (GRE & IPSec), VRF, HSRP/VRRP, QoS, IP Flow Top Talkers, IP Accounting, ARP, NAT, PAT, Port Channel, VXLAN and Policy Routing.
• Familiar with security appliances such as Cisco FirePower and/or Palo Alto.
• Familiar with NMS setup and configuration such as Forescout NetFlow, MRTG/PRTG and SolarWinds as well as F5 Networks/A10 Load Balancers devices.
• Professional certifications would be an added advantage e.g. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, maintain and optimize WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi networks for optimal performance and maximum availability.
• Ensure that all network devices (routers, switches, load balancers, wireless LAN controllers) and firewalls remain in good working condition.
• Configure, troubleshoot and resolve issues within network and security areas including performance and capacity issues.
• Provide technical support and consultation, conduct procurement and perform project management activities for enhancements and changes in network and security configuration.
• Update and document all network configuration, firmware, network diagrams and cabling for all end-devices.
