Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Logistics & Network Support Engineer to support IT and network warehouse operations, asset management, equipment staging, deployment, dispatch, collection, RMA coordination, and Level 1 network support.
The role combines hands-on logistics and inventory responsibilities with basic network troubleshooting and deployment support across enterprise networking and security equipment. The successful candidate will ensure IT assets are accurately tracked, properly prepared for deployment, and supported throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Logistics & Asset Management
2. RMA & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate faulty equipment replacement, RMA processes, warranty claims, repairs, and return-to-vendor activities.
- Track RMA status and follow up with vendors, suppliers, and relevant internal teams.
- Maintain records of faulty units, replacement equipment, repair status, and returned assets.
- Ensure replacement equipment is properly received, recorded, tagged, and assigned.
3. Level 1 Network Support
- Perform basic checks for:
Power and hardware status
Cabling and physical connectivityLED indicators
Link and port statusSFP/module status
Interface connectivity
- Assist with device staging, rack-and-stack activities, patching, labeling, hardware replacement, and site deployment.
- Provide basic troubleshooting support for LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewall, and general connectivity incidents or service requests.
- Perform basic network diagnostic activities, including ping, traceroute, cable checks, link verification, and post-replacement connectivity testing.
- Collect and document relevant technical information such as hostnames, IP addresses, serial numbers, device models, firmware versions, interface status, screenshots, and basic logs.

4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate network and asset documentation.
- Update port maps, rack layouts, deployment trackers, inventory records, and equipment movement records.
- Prepare regular stock, asset, deployment, and RMA reports.
- Ensure all warehouse and IT asset records remain accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- Maintain clear handover documentation for equipment issued to engineers, projects, vendors, and customer sites.
Qualifications
- Experience in IT logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, IT asset management, or network equipment handling.
- Ability to identify and handle enterprise network and infrastructure equipment, including: Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wireless access points, SFPs and transceiver modules, Network modules, Ethernet/fiber cables, Power supplies, Rack and patching components
- Basic knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, IP addressing, VLANs, network cabling, rack layouts, and first-level connectivity troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of physical network connectivity, port/link status, SFP status, power indicators, and equipment health checks.
- Strong coordination skills withvendors, couriers, suppliers, field engineers, project managers, network engineers, and technical teams.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills usingspreadsheets, ticketing systems, inventory management tools, asset trackers, deployment trackers, and equipment handover records.
- Able to maintain accurate records of equipment models, serial numbers, asset tags, locations, stock movements, project assignments, warranty status, and RMA status.
- Willing to supportsite rollouts, hardware refreshes, equipment replacements, maintenance windows, and deployment activitieswhen required.
- Comfortable performing hands-on activities such as equipment staging, packing, labeling, rack-and-stack, patching, hardware replacement, dispatch, collection, and site support.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inventory and audit-ready documentation.
- Good communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- MinimumHigher NITEC, NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualificationin: Information Technology/ Networking/ Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Logistics/ Supply Chain/ Warehouse Management Or a related discipline
- Relevant hands-on experience inIT logistics, network equipment handling, infrastructure deployment, or Level 1 network supportmay be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
