Job summary

GMP RECRUITMENT SERVICES (S) PTE LTD in Singapore seeks an experienced network engineer to manage and support enterprise hybrid network infrastructure and AWS connectivity. You will work with firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, Direct Connect, and DR readiness in a 24/7 environment.

Requirements include a minimum of 3 years in enterprise/hybrid networks, strong AWS networking skills, and relevant certifications; after-hours support is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical hybrid network environments (on-premises and cloud).
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching (Layer 2/3), DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, network security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience managing enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point), load balancers, and network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and traceroute.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, AWS Certified Cloud Operations Engineer – Associate, Check Point (CCSA/CCSE), or Fortinet (FCA/FCP) are preferred. Willingness to support after-hours operations, including deployments, maintenance, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) in 24/7 production environments.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot hybrid network connectivity between on-premises data centres and AWS cloud environments, including VPCs, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
• Configure and maintain network security controls such as firewalls, security groups, NACLs, segmentation, and zoning in compliance with security standards.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using network monitoring tools; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Investigate and resolve network incidents, outages, latency, and connectivity issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA) and collaborating with internal teams and vendors.
• Execute network deployments, configuration changes, and upgrades following change management (CAB) processes with validation and rollback planning.
• Manage external connectivity with telecom providers, payment gateways, and third-party vendors while ensuring reliable service delivery.
• Maintain network documentation, disaster recovery (DR) readiness, operational procedures, and provide after-hours support for critical incidents and maintenance.
