Job summary

KOPI RECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Network Engineer to monitor, support, and manage enterprise-grade networking and security across on-premises and cloud environments.

Role requires knowledge of monitoring tools, routing & switching, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud-native security, with automation and SDN as pluses. Travel to remote sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on networking experience.
• Strong routing, SDN, VPN, and security best practices.
• CCNA or CCNP Certification preferred.
• Experience with Cisco Routing & Switching and Firewalls.
• Familiar with ITIL processes.
• Knowledge of IP addressing, routing, and VLANs.
• Familiarity with Python and Ansible for automation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise networking across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Use network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
• Troubleshoot incidents and escalate to 3rd vendors.
• Support changes to load balancers, routing, and firewall rules.
• Perform firmware upgrades on network and security devices.
• Review security events on IDS/IPS and WAF.
• Coordinate with Azure/AWS networking.
• Update ITSM tickets and provide root-cause analysis.

Job description

Role Summary

We are seeking for a Network Engineer to be part of the team to monitor, support and manage enterprise-grade networking and security solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. The role requires working knowledge on monitoring tools, network routing & switching, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud-native security, with additional skills in automation, and SDN considered a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure that the network is performing normally by using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
• Ensure that all incidents reported are supported on timely manner.
• Travel to remote sites for troubleshooting and support as needed.
• Ensure that all alerts and events in the monitoring tools are being attended to.
• Perform timely escalation to 3rd vendors for hardware, software and telco related problems.
• Support service requests for operational changes related to load balancers, network switching and routing, firewall rules, update of security policies in security devices.
• Perform firmware upgrades for network and security devices.
• Check and react to security events on intrusion detection and prevention system, WAF
• Check, troubleshoot and log ticket to Cloud Service Providers for networking components deployed in Azure, AWS.
• Proficiency in using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
• Analyze network performance issues and recommends optimization options for implementation.
• Perform NetFlow tracing
• Ensure timely update and closure of ITSM tickets
• Work with the team and 3rd party vendors to provide root cause analysis for incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols, SDN, VPNs, and network security best practices.
• Certification: CCNA or CCNP or equivalent (Preferred)
• Experience with network monitoring and support of Cisco Routing and Switching, Network load balancers, Checkpoint or Palo Alto Firewalls
• Familiar with ITIL best practices and processes
• Good knowledge of networking (IP addressing, routing, VLANs)
• Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible) and orchestration concepts.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) : Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, Juniper Contrail, SD-WAN.(pref)
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of VPN and remote access solutions (Cisco AnyConnect, Palo Alto GlobalProtect).
