Job summary

Aperio Technology (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for clients. You will configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and monitor performance to protect data and systems from cyber threats.

The role requires 3–5+ years in network/security, relevant bachelor’s degree, and industry certifications. On-site work in Singapore with opportunities to collaborate across sectors including hospitality, manufacturing, and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience in network and security roles.
• Industry-recognized certifications are preferred (various cybersecurity, Azure, Cisco, Dynamics 365, CM certifications).
• Experience managing customer environments.

Responsibilities

TheNetwork Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure and reliable network infrastructure for our organization. This role ensures the optimal performance of our customers' IT infrastructure as well as the protection of their data and systems from cyber threats through hands‑on configuration, troubleshooting, and proactive network monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Implementation:Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure network architectures. Install and configure network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, etc.).
• Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Proactively monitor network performance and identify potential issues. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security incidents. Perform scheduled maintenance, software upgrades, and security patches.
• Security Administration:Implement and manage network security solutions (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, access controls, etc.). Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Respond to security incidents and investigate breaches.
• Security Awareness and Compliance:Develop and enforce security policies and procedures. Conduct security awareness training for employees. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations.
• Documentation:Maintain comprehensive documentation in network and security configurations, procedures, and incidents.

Required Skills

• Being familiar with the following customer environments is a must: Hospitality, Manufacturing, & Education.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing protocols, etc.) and security principles.
• Proficiency in firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including clearly explaining technical concepts.

• Experience managing customer environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Level 1 & 2 Support

1. 1. Provide on-site technical support to clients

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues – Hardware: POSIFLEX POS Terminal, Zebra mobile computing devices, Zebra RFID device, HP Laptops, Dell Laptop, Fujitsu printer, Biometrics device, Cisco Switch, Dell AP, Zebra barcode scanners, Cash drawers, Denso scanner, HP MFP. Software: D365 POS system, Office365, SAP, RSH Scanning DCS, Nike NBY printing system, Biometrics system, RunnerAPP, Clarity, MIM, Stocktake app.
3. 3. Coordinate with the customer's internal IT team for escalations and project support
4. 4. Ensure minimal downtime and prompt resolution of IT-related incidents

Requirements:

· Full-time on-site presence 9am to 6pm (office hours)

· Ad-hoc support including standby availability during non-operation hours.

· Availability for ad-hoc support during weekends or public holidays (if applicable)
