Job summary

IDC Technologies (Singapore) PTE. LTD. is seeking a knowledgeable network administrator to oversee incident and change management, device commissioning, de-commissioning, and tech refresh cycles. You will collaborate across teams to ensure reliable network delivery and adherence to SLAs.

The role requires hands-on expertise with firewall technologies, IP load balancing, core switches, and router configurations, plus strong analytical and communication skills. Independent work style is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in network administration and implementation (minimum 5 years).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to provide quick resolutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; self-driven and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for network incident and change management.
• Responsible for commissioning, de-commissioning and tech refresh of network devices.
• Facilitate in problem solving and collaboration across teams.
• Manage smooth delivery of network operations in line with SLAs.
• Provide firmware updates for network devices.
• Ensure network infrastructure complies with security policies.
• Prepare and maintain assets to ensure availability and update of capacity reports.
• Update process and procedural documents.

Job description

• Responsible for Network related incident and change management
• Responsible for the commission, de-commissioning and tech refresh of network devices
• Facilitate in problem solving and collaboration
• Manage the smooth delivery of network operations in accordance with stipulated Service Level Agreements
• Provide firmware updates for network devices
• Ensure network infrastructure complies with security policies
• Prepare and maintain assets to ensure availability and update of capacity reports
• Update process and procedural documents
• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer Science, Business IT or its equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in administration and implementation
• Good knowledge of the following, but not limited to:
  • Firewall technologies (high availability, virtual firewall concept)
  • IP load balancer
  • Distribution and core switches
  • Router configuration (high availability)
  • LAN and WAN administration
• Good understanding of a services business in a high-tech environment from a supplier, integrator or operator’s perspective
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, combined with ability to provide quick resolution to problems
• Proficient in troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication skills
• Self-driven and ability to work independently
