Job summary

Barnes Aerospace Singapore is seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to join our MRO operations. You will perform X-Ray/FPI inspections on aircraft engine components, interpret instructions, and ensure conformance to procedures and specifications.

The role requires 2–4 years of RT/NDT experience, NAS 410 / EN 4179 certification, and strong attention to detail. Candidates should be able to work from official drawings and SOPs, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of RT/NDT experience is preferred.
• NAS 410 / EN 4179 or equivalent RT/NDT certification is required.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform X-Ray/FPI inspection on aircraft engine components.
• Interpret work instructions and make acceptance/rejection decisions.
• Work from drawings, SOPs, and QA procedures using NDT methods to locate discontinuities.
• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and perform daily system checks.
• Apply applicable specs and acceptance criteria to determine test requirements.
• Complete reports and initiate non-conformance reports when needed.
• Participate in CIP projects and assist with audit preparations.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible to perform X-Ray/FPI inspection on aircraft engine components.
• To interpret work instructions and to make decisions on acceptance / rejection of parts.
• Able to work from Written Instructions, Operation Sheets, Standard Operation Procedures, Engineering Drawings and Quality Procedures using X-Ray/FPI NDT methods on aircraft engine components to locate discontinuities
• Setup and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment and perform daily system check
• Able to establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Use NDT inspection methods to ensure maximum quality of product, detect discontinuities and review test orders to determine type of test required, test procedures, and part acceptability criteria
• Apply acceptance criteria in accordance with applicable specifications, standards, operation sheets and evaluate results accurately
• Complete reports, if requires initiate non-conformance report on part that do not meet requirements.
• Participate in CIP projects, audit preparations and process reports for corrective action
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area
• Comply with all company safety rules and regulations during course of duties
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by the management

Requirements

• Education Requirements: GCE O / A Level , Nitec / Technical Certificate or equivalent / Diploma
• Experience Level Requirements: 2 – 4 years and Possess NAS 410 / EN 4179 or equivalent certification on X-Ray (RT) / FPI / MT / PT.
• Strong hands on experience in RT is a must.
• Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, good communications skills.
