Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is seeking an NDT Level 2 inspector in Singapore onsite. The role focuses on set up, evaluation, and documentation of inspection results for aerospace components.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• Level 2 in FPI with at least 400 hours experience.
• Knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
• Familiar with inspection gauges, tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand technical instructions, drawings and SOPs.
• Meticulous with an eye for details and hands-on.
• Willing to work night shifts and overtime as needed.
• Pass vision exam (Jaeger chart) and color vision test.

Responsibilities

• Set up and standardize equipment; evaluate parts for acceptance or rejection; document results per procedures.
• Provide guidance to trainees and Level 1 personnel on methods.
• Familiar with P&W codes, standards, and contractual docs governing methods.
• Conduct system performance checks per process standards.
• Develop and manage inspection procedures for NDT Level 3 approval.
• Support continuous improvement programs and CORE activities.
• Learn new advanced technology as required.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

• Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection and document results in accordance with procedures.
• Familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and as directed, be capable of providing the necessary guidance to trainees and Level 1 personnel.
• Familiar with the P&W codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the methods including the scope and limitations of each technique/method.
• Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standard.
• Develop and manage procedures and inspection technique (sheets) for NDT Level 3 approval.
• Support the continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.
• Comfortable to learn new advanced technology.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have *

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• Level 2 in FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) with at least 400 hours FPI experience.
• Knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology
• Familiar with inspection gauges, tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand technical instruction, drawing and standard operation procedures (SOP).
• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach.
• Carry out physical tasks to lift and carry parts/fixtures with the aid of equipment & tools.
• Pass vision exam (Jaeger #1 test chart at not less than 12 inches) and a color blindness test.
• Willing to work on night shifts and overtime on need basis.
