Job summary

DNV is seeking a naval architecture engineer in Singapore to analyze offshore structures, including floaters, moorings, and risers. You will develop expertise in static and dynamic analyses, fatigue, and nonlinear methods, with growth toward project leadership and client-facing responsibilities.

You will work in a multinational team focused on the energy transition, leveraging Digital Twin initiatives and software tools. A master’s degree and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in naval architecture or comparable engineering disciplines with course specialisation on naval architecture, offshore structures from an accredited college or university.
• Good basic engineering skills/understanding.
• Team player with positive attitude and ability to work effectively with different teams.
• Service oriented with a proactive attitude.
• Programming in Python is advantageous.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to strength and fatigue assessment of floating structures, stability and hydrodynamics, floatover operations, moorings and riser systems.
• Deliver single work packages and manage smaller projects; communicate with internal and external clients.
• Prepare accurate technical reports and support tender/proposal activities.
• Attend meetings and deliver presentations; collaborate with senior engineers.
• Develop understanding of the interplay between naval architecture and other engineering disciplines within projects.
