We are seeking an experienced Murex Collateral Consultant to support Murex collateral-related delivery. The role requires a strong techno-functional consultant with hands-on experience across Murex Collateral Management, margin call processing, collateral workflows, static data, agreements, exposure calculation, dispute handling, reporting, testing, and front-to-back integration.
The successful candidate will work closely with business users, Risk, Operations, IT, Murex SMEs, project teams, and vendor stakeholders to support collateral configuration, functional analysis, issue resolution, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support. This role is suited to someone with strong Murex experience who understands how collateral processes interact with trade lifecycle, market data, risk, settlements, accounting, regulatory reporting, and downstream systems.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of Murex experience, with strong hands-on exposure to collateral management, risk, operations, or front-to-back Murex delivery.
- Strong functional understanding of Murex Collateral Management, including margin calls, collateral agreements, eligibility rules, exposure calculation, substitutions, disputes, interest, settlement, and reporting.
- Experience working across cash and securities collateral, CSA setup, counterparty agreements, portfolios, collateral static data, haircut rules, thresholds, minimum transfer amounts, rounding rules, and eligibility schedules.
- Good understanding of collateral processes across OTC derivatives, cleared products, securities financing, FX, rates, credit, equity derivatives, or fixed income environments.
- Experience gathering requirements from business users and translating them into Murex configuration, functional specifications, test scenarios, and implementation plans.
- Strong knowledge of Murex workflows, events, impacts, OSP, static data, market data, trade lifecycle, and downstream integration points.
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect analysis, production incident resolution, go-live preparation, and post-go-live support.
- Ability to analyse complex Murex issues across collateral, risk, operations, reporting, interfaces, and downstream systems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across business, IT, operations, risk, vendor, and project delivery teams.
- Experience in Singapore or South East Asia banking environments would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of Murex Collateral Management enhancements, implementation, migration, upgrade, integration, or BAU change activity.
- Work with collateral operations, risk, business, and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and define functional solutions.
- Configure and support Murex collateral functionality across agreements, eligibility rules, margin call processing, collateral movements, substitutions, disputes, interest, and reporting.
- Analyse collateral workflows, events, impacts, exposure calculations, settlement flows, and downstream data requirements.
- Support setup and validation of collateral static data including counterparties, agreements, portfolios, thresholds, MTAs, haircuts, eligibility rules, currencies, and settlement instructions.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Back Office, Operations, Finance, and IT teams to ensure collateral processes are correctly aligned across the full trade lifecycle.
- Support integration between Murex collateral and downstream systems, including reporting, settlement, accounting, regulatory, and operational platforms.
- Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, process flows, test cases, issue logs, and user support documentation.
- Execute and support SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect triage, test evidence review, and business sign-off.
- Investigate and resolve Murex collateral-related production issues, including breaks, workflow exceptions, margin call discrepancies, reporting issues, and interface failures.
- Support release readiness, cutover planning, go-live preparation, implementation execution, and post-go-live stabilisation.
- Provide clear status updates, risk escalation, issue tracking, and delivery updates to project managers and senior stakeholders.
- Work with Murex vendor teams, internal SMEs, and system integrators to manage defects, clarify expected behaviour, and validate solutions.
- Ensure collateral delivery remains aligned with business objectives, operational controls, regulatory expectations, and UOB's project delivery standards.
