Job summary

LUXOFT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Murex MX3.1 specialist to support a strategic upgrade for a leading bank in Singapore. You will design and implement MxML workflows, develop reports, and contribute to testing and governance.

The role requires deep Murex expertise, knowledge of ISO20022 MX messages, and UNIX/SQL skills, with strong communication to coordinate with IT and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years of experience with MX3.1 Back office and Murex workflows.
• Strong understanding of Murex system and capital market products.
• MXML exchange interface/integration experience is mandatory.
• Experience on Murex upgrade projects and related report development.
• Proficient in UNIX and SQL; familiar with ISO20022 MX messages.

Responsibilities

• Write transformation logic for source data to MxML format.
• Create MxML import/export workflows using MXML Exchange.
• Document Functional, Technical Specifications and Test Cases for integration.
• Produce exception reports for failures and build Murex reports.
• Configure and build MxML Exchange tasks for custom processing.
• Work on CRs for BO Workflows including Contract, Event, Deliverable & other workflows.
• Prepare and send periodic status reports and track testing progress.
• Assist PM with estimation and coordination with development and infrastructure teams.

One of our client (a leading bank of Singapore) is undertaking a strategic upgrade of its Murex MX.3 platform to enhance system resilience, support new product capabilities, and align with evolving regulatory and operational requirements.
This initiative includes upgrading from version 3.1.42.48b to 3.1.6x.x, onboarding the EQA and OSP Excess modules, and implementing comprehensive reconciliation, testing automation, and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Write transformation logic for source data format to Murex understandable format (MxML)
• Create MxML import and export workflows using MXML Exchange
• Document Functional, Technical Specification and Test Cases for integration
• Produce exception reports for failures
• Configure and Build Murex Reports for reports-based interfaces
• Build custom tasks in MxML Exchange for specific processing not available through standard task library
• Work on CRs for BO Workflows including Contract, Event, Deliverable & other Business object workflows
• Prepare and send effective periodic and timely status reports
• Track the testing progress and escalated the issue well in advance
• Assists in the preparation and execution of test plans
• Identifies the conditions that create errors to occur and escalates outstanding issues for clarification and resolution
• Escalates identified issues/risks in a timely fashion to the PM
• Assist PM with effort estimation related to the development and UAT
• Coordinate with development and infrastructure team for availability of Mx environments and database
• Create and maintain report delivery plan with relevant traceability

Skills

Must have

• At least 10+ years of experience on MX3.1 Back office
• Understanding of the Murex system as a whole
• Good understanding of capital market products
• Mxml exchange interface/mxml integration experience is mandatory
• Experience of Murex upgrade project
• Good understanding of Murex 3.1 workflow and MxML, familiar with Event workflow, contract workflow, exchange workflow, deliverable workflow
• In-depth experience in Murex workflow development involving trade life cycle, creating new system interface workflow, confirmation generation, error management, OSP, etc
• Ability to perform business analysis and requirement gathering independently
• Experience in UNIX and SQL.
• Experience in Confirmation Build (Paper/Swift)
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues
• Experience on working ISO20022 MX messages.
• Should possess an understanding of financial markets
• Basic knowledge on financial instruments such as Interest Rate Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, Swaps, Futures, Options, FRA, etc.
• Murex upgrade related report development & reconciliation experience.
