TikTok is seeking a Multimodal LLM Algorithm Engineer Intern to join the Global E-commerce Algorithm team. You will work on multimodal content understanding, product matching, and price intelligence, contributing to cutting‑edge AI research and production-ready systems.

The internship offers hands-on experience across NLP, CV, and large language models, with exposure to agents, RAG, and tool‑calling technologies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in software development, CS, or related technical discipline.
• Strong research or practical experience in NLP, CV, multimodal learning, large models, or agents.
• Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow and hands-on model training, tuning, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine global product catalog and content understanding systems for multimodal data.
• Develop algorithms for identical product matching, deduplication, and cross-lingual aggregation.
• Design and implement pricing and price comparison algorithms for e-commerce use cases.
• Create multimodal links across video/product relationships to support trend understanding and recommendations.
• Explore generative search and agent-based capabilities with RAG, tool calling, and planning.
