Job summary

TikTok is seeking talented undergraduates or master's students for an internship within the Global E-commerce Algorithm team. You will work on multimodal content understanding, product understanding, and price intelligence to power next-generation content-commerce solutions.

You'll build and improve global catalog and matching systems, explore LLMs and Agents, and participate in data construction, model training, evaluation, and deployment under guidance of senior researchers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (Software Development, CS, CE)
• Strong research or practical experience in NLP, CV, generative models, multimodal learning, large models, or Agents
• Proficiency in PyTorch / TensorFlow and hands-on model training, tuning, deployment

Responsibilities

• Build global product catalog and content understanding systems with structured and semantic representations
• Develop algorithms for identical product matching, deduplication, and cross-lingual product aggregation
• Build pricing algorithms for price comparison, price monitoring, and anomaly detection
• Construct multimodal semantic links across video-product relationships for trend understanding and content-commerce optimization
• Explore generative search and SID modeling across videos, livestreams, products, and queries
• Design and develop generative algorithms for high-engagement e-commerce visuals and localised scene generation
• Explore business-facing Agents leveraging RAG, tool calling, and planning
• Own end-to-end algorithm workflow including data construction, model training, evaluation, deployment, and iteration
