Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Singapore is seeking an MRO Technician (Inspection) to perform hands-on inspection and testing of aerospace components and APUs in a highly technical environment. The role involves working with engine cores, applying technical manuals, and ensuring compliance with quality standards onsite at Gul Circle.

The position requires 2–5 years in aerospace inspection, an aerospace qualification, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum NTC Aerospace Technology/Engineering certification or higher.
  • 2–5 years inspector experience in Aerospace.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and manuals, in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills; SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and detailed inspections of engine parts at incoming, in-process, final, and engine-level stages.
  • Use bore gauges, CMMs, and borescopes for inspections.
  • Ensure parts and repairs conform to approved technical data, specifications, quality standards, and procedures.
  • Interpret and apply technical manuals, Service Bulletins, manufacturer specifications, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
  • Perform SAP transactions and update work orders as necessary.
  • Comply with and support HSE, Quality, Ethics, and safety requirements.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Workshop Engineer/Manager.

MRO Technician (Inspection)
BUILD YOUR TECHNICAL FOUNDATION IN AEROSPACE

Put your mechanical, engineering or technical education into practice in a hands‑on aerospace environment working with critical aircraft components.

As an MRO Technician (Inspection), you will develop specialized technical knowledge by working directly with APU and aircraft Engine Core, performs hands‑on maintenance, inspection, assembly, and testing of aerospace components and APU systems based on strict technical manuals.

Through structured on‑the‑job training, you will gain practical experience in how aerospace components operate, how faults are identified, and how mechanical and electromechanical components are repaired, overhauled and tested.

This position is ideal for candidates with a mechanical, engineering or technical background who enjoy hands‑on problem solving, understanding how equipment works and applying their skills in a highly technical aerospace environment.

LOCATION: Gul Circle, Singapore

WORK SCHEDULE: Onsite | Rotating Shift

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and detailed inspections of aircraft engine parts and components at incoming, in-process, final, and engine‑level stages.
  • Conduct inspections using precision measuring equipment, including bore gauges, CMMs, and borescopes.
  • Ensure parts and repairs conform to approved technical data, specifications, quality standards, and procedures.
  • Interpret and apply technical manuals, Service Bulletins, manufacturer specifications, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
  • Perform required SAP transactions and update work orders as necessary.
  • Comply with and support HSE, Quality, Ethics, and safety requirements.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Workshop Engineer/Manager.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Must have at least NTC Aerospace Technology/ Engineering certificate or higher.
  • Must have 2-5 years inspector experience in Aerospace Industry
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair documentation in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently after going through on the job training.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have basic computer skills. Knowledge of SAP is preferred
WE VALUE
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electromechanical components.
  • Ability to interpret blueprint/technical drawings and use engine manuals and/or technical publications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety and compliance.
  • Effective problem‑solving and analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools and test equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Flexible to support operational requirements and overtime as needed.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Teams.
  • Must be able to interpret blueprint drawings and use of engine manuals and/or publications
  • Preferably with analytical knowledge and computer literate.
  • Initiates & implements continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and quality.
  • Familiar with MS Office applications including MS Teams.
