Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an MRO Mechanical Component Technician in Gul Circle, Singapore. This onsite role focuses on hands-on maintenance, inspection, assembly and testing of aerospace components, including APU systems, following strict manuals.

You will gain specialized knowledge by working with the APU and engine core, learning how faults are identified and repaired, overhauled and tested in a highly technical aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have NTC/NITEC or equivalent technical qualification in a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year hands-on MRO/assembly/troubleshooting experience with mechanical/electromechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair and overhaul on Honeywell APU accessory LRUs (pneumatic valves, oil and fuel pumps, electrical starters, wiring harnesses).
  • Operate and maintain measuring instruments and tooling per requirements.
  • Conduct 5S and TPM activities for the work area, tooling and equipment.
  • Ensure work meets quality standards per manuals and work instructions.
  • Follow Health, Safety and Environment rules and procedures.

MRO Mechanical Component Technician

BUILD YOUR TECHNICAL FOUNDATION IN AEROSPACE

Put your mechanical, engineering or technical education into practice in a hands-on aerospace environment working with critical aircraft components.

As an MRO Mechanical Component Technician , you will develop specialized technical knowledge by working directly with APU and aircraft Engine Core, performs hands-on maintenance, inspection, assembly, and testing of aerospace components and APU systems based on strict technical manuals.

Through structured on-the-job training, you will gain practical experience in how aerospace components operate, how faults are identified, and how mechanical and electromechanical components are repaired, overhauled and tested.

This position is ideal for candidates with a mechanical, engineering or technical background who enjoy hands-on problem solving, understanding how equipment works and applying their skills in a highly technical aerospace environment.

LOCATION: Gul Circle, Singapore

WORK SCHEDULE: Onsite | Rotating Shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repair and overhaul activities, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and testing, on Honeywell APU accessory LRUs such as pneumatic valves, oil and fuel pumps, electrical starters, and wire harnesses.

  • Operate and maintain company-provided measuring instruments, tools, and equipment in accordance with applicable requirements.

  • Perform 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities for the work area, tooling, and equipment.

  • Ensure all work performed meets the required quality standards specified in the applicable engine manuals, technical documents, and work instructions.

  • Comply with all applicable company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) rules and procedures.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • NTC/NITEC or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Technology, Marine Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance or a related technical discipline.

  • 1+ year of hands-on technical experience involving MRO, assembly, troubleshooting, inspection or testing of mechanical or electromechanical equipment; experience may include pumps, valves, pneumatic or hydraulic systems, motors/starters, rotating equipment or similar equipment.

  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Ability to work rotating shifts.

WE VALUE

  • Ability to interpret blueprint/technical drawings and use engine manuals and/or technical publications.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety and compliance.

  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Experience using precision measurement tools and test equipment.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Flexible to support operational requirements and overtime as needed.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Teams.

  • Must be able to interpret blueprint drawings and use of engine manuals and/or publications

  • Preferably with analytical knowledge and computer literate.

  • Initiates & implements continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and quality.

  • Familiar with MS Office applications including MS Teams.
