Job summary

Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL) is seeking engineers to liaise with customers and OEMs, define work scopes for engine and module maintenance, and develop detailed repair instructions. You will review OEM publications, provide technical support for strip findings, and prepare technical summaries and TVRs where necessary.

The role involves engineering support for sentencing and kitting, investigations on engines, and preparing engine test instructions for testing activities,

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Good knowledge of high-bypass gas turbine engines and their maintenance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers and OEMs to define the work scope for engine and module maintenance activities.
• Develop and issue detailed work instructions for engine and module repairs and overhauls.
• Review and evaluate OEM technical publications to ensure readiness for tasks.
• Provide technical support and assessment of engine and module strip findings.
• Prepare technical summaries detailing strip findings and repair recommendations.
• Raise Technical Variance Requests (TVRs) with OEMs when needed.
• Provide engineering support for sentencing and kitting activities.
• Conduct investigations on engines and modules removed from service and prepare reports.
• Prepare engine test instructions and troubleshoot during testing.

The Engine Overhaul business has the capability to service all products in the Trent engine family, this includes Trent 500, Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent 900, Trent 1000 and Trent XWB; SAESL is the only Trent engine MRO that can support all product variants. The Engine Overhaul business has the capacity to repair and overhaul over 300 Trent engines per year and it is equipped with a state-of-the-art Engine Test Facility that supports our best-in-class engine turnaround times.

Job Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers and OEMs to define the work scope for engine and module maintenance activities.
• Develop and issue detailed work instructions for engine and module repairs and overhauls.
• Review and evaluate OEM technical publications to ensure the shop is adequately prepared to perform the required tasks.
• Provide technical support and assessment of engine and module strip findings.
• Prepare technical summaries detailing strip findings, repair recommendations, and work performed on engines and modules.
• Raise Technical Variance Requests (TVRs) with OEMs, where required, to obtain approval for findings that exceed specified limits.
• Provide engineering support for sentencing and kitting activities.
• Conduct investigations on engines and modules removed from service and prepare technical reports on investigation findings and recommendations.
• Prepare engine test instructions and provide troubleshooting support during engine testing activities.

Qualification / Experience

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates with a relevant Diploma and substantial work experience will also be considered.
• Good knowledge of high-bypass gas turbine engines and their maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
