Job summary

ONEMT PTE. LTD. seeks a talented 2D game artist to create character designs, environments, props, cutscenes and backgrounds for our upcoming titles, bringing vibrant visuals to life.

You will collaborate with game designers and developers to integrate artwork into gameplay, iterate from feedback, and help shape the art bible while ensuring visual coherence for live events, marketing assets and UI touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Education in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Art, or related field.
• Proven experience as a game artist specializing in 2D illustration.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant work is required.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Create stunning 2D artwork, including character designs, environments, props, cutscenes, and backgrounds
• Develop concept art to explore and communicate visual ideas and to define the artistic direction of the game, and to contribute towards building the art bibles.
• Collaborate closely with game designers and developers to integrate artwork seamlessly into the game, ensuring a cohesive visual experience.
• Iterate on artwork based on feedback from the team and playtesting, striving for continuous improvement and polish.
• Coordinate and manage art outsourcing schedules, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to game requirements.
• Generate art assets and maintain visual consistency for live-ops events, marketing initiatives, and diverse project needs.

Job Requirements:

• Education in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Art, or related field / experience.
• Proven experience as a game artist specializing in 2D illustration
• Strong proficiency in digital art tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a startup-like environment.
• Passion for gaming and a deep appreciation for the role of art and design in creating memorable gaming experiences.
• Bonus points for experience in launched & live games.
• Experience with 2D animation, VFX and UI design is a plus.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant work. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
