Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a Machine Learning Platform Engineer to design and maintain our ML platform, handling data processing, model training, deployment, and integration with other systems to support large-scale ML workflows.

You will collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers, optimize performance, and stay ahead with new tools and technologies to keep the platform robust and scalable across our global services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with distributed computing and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Familiar with cloud and containerization (AWS, Docker).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core functions of the ML platform: data processing, feature engineering, model training, deployment.
• Build scalable data processing and computing processes for platform stability and performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand requirements and provide tooling support.
• Work with system admins and software engineers to ensure platform integration with other systems.
• Monitor operation and troubleshoot platform issues.
• Track emerging technologies and propose platform improvements.
