Job summary

Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) in Singapore seeks a Software Development Engineer to transform complex operational needs into reliable software. You will work across frontend, backend, GIS, and integration platforms to support mission-critical Command and Control systems for SAF and government agencies.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, engaging with product managers, UX designers, and mission stakeholders to deliver resilient software and robust architectures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Candidates with more than two years of relevant experience may be considered for a Senior Software Development Engineer position.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

Understand operational challenges and translate them into effective software capabilities.
Engineer mission-critical C2 applications, focusing on performance, resilience, security and scalability.
Design and build frontend, backend, and integration components across web, mobile, and GIS platforms.
Plan and execute system integration, testing, and troubleshooting end-to-end.
Apply DevSecOps practices and maintain architecture, code quality, and security.
