Job summary

TIANCHENG ELECTRICAL MARINE EQUIPMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an Engineer to design, code, and commission control systems for marine electrical equipment on vessels.

You will integrate PLC and inverter drive logic with mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities include developing PLC and HMI software for winches, cranes, and propulsion systems, configuring VFDs, performing rigorous testing, and providing on-site commissioning support for hardware/software

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering is required.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI development is essential.
• Familiarity with power electronics and VFDs.
• Willingness to travel for on-site commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and test PLC and HMI software for marine equipment.
• Configure and tune VFDs and inverter systems for performance optimization.
• Perform functional testing and simulations before shipboard installation.
• Provide on-site commissioning support and troubleshoot hardware/software interfaces.
• Document software versions, settings, and manuals for maintenance.

Job description

Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineer to design, code, and commission thecontrol systems for our marine electrical equipment. You will be responsiblefor integrating PLC/inverter drive logic with real-world mechanical equipmentto ensure safe and efficient marine operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logic Programming: Develop andmaintain PLC and HMI software for marine winches, cranes, and propulsionsystems.
• Drive Integration: Configureand fine-tune variable frequency drives (VFDs) and inverter systems to optimizeequipment performance.
• System Testing: Conductrigorous functional testing and simulation of control logic before shipboardinstallation.
• Commissioning: Providetechnical support during on-site commissioning, including troubleshootinghardware-software interface issues on vessels.
• Documentation: Maintain preciserecords of software versions, parameter settings, and technical manuals forequipment maintenance.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical,Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• Proficiency in PLC programming(e.g., Siemens, Schneider, or Mitsubishi) and HMI development.
• Understanding of powerelectronics and variable speed drives.
• Ability to read and interpretelectrical schematic drawings.
• Willingness to travel foron-site marine commissioning as required.
